CANE CORSO DOGS
Our hearts melted when we were introduced to Cane Corso Italiano dogs. Also known as Italian Mastiffs, these amazing dogs are an ancient breed. Originating in Italy, they were guardians of the farms. They are a majestic, extremely loyal breed, like no other; however, they are most definitely not a breed for a newcomer to the canine world. Corso owners need to have experience with large, dominant breeds. Sadly, the more popular these dogs become, the more we are seeing in the shelters. They are also a popular choice for Bandogge breeders, who breed Pitbulls with Mastiffs. Many of these dogs end up on the euthanasia list at the shelters as Pitbull mixes. Our mission is to rehabilitate and find new homes for owner surrendered dogs, as well as rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing Cane Corso and Corso mixes from animal shelters.
